This Saturday, I’ll be performing with the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra. The concert is at 7:30 on Saturday May 9 at the Interlakes Auditorium in Meredith. We’re playing Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. The pianist is Catharine Quillen Dornin. You can get tickets here or at the door on Saturday.
On Sunday, I’ll be enjoying a morning in the pews at Church of the Holy Spirit in Plymouth, where the Rt. Rev. Gene Robinson will be preaching. Robinson, of course, is the Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire and the first openly gay person to be confirmed as a bishop in the Anglican communion. I’ve heard him speak briefly when the New Hampshire legislature has considered civil rights for gay and lesbian couples, but have never heard him preach. I’m looking forward to it.
