Memorial Services at Starr King UU Fellowship are each a Celebration of Life. The minister works with the family and friends of the deceased to craft a service of remembrance which reflects who the person was. It may be brief or longer, depending on readings, music and number of persons speaking. Memorial Services are scheduled at a mutually agreed time of convenience for the family and have been known to take place six months to a year later. Travel and other obligations are taken into consideration.
The Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall and kitchen are available for use. Please check the Facilities page for more information.
Funeral Services are usually within a week of the death. The service may be held at the Funeral Home or the Cemetery with the coffin or the urn of ashes present. They are usually short with minimum participation of others.
