July 23, 2017 – Hinduism
Nancy Chaddock, Worship Associate and Arasu and Jay Gunasekaren
What is it about?
I have been told that Moksha (salvation) is the ultimate purpose of a human being. Till date the idea of salvation intrigues me and I have been making meaning through various experiences. I have chosen a path to salvation and am consciously moving towards it. How do you define salvation? Has it shaped your way of life? If yes, how?
Why do I care?
My childhood was deeply influences by my parents and the practices of Hinduism (because of my parents). I was immersed in the mythologies, folktales, traditions, and customs of South India, since birth. My spiritual identity is shaped significantly by my association with saints, my family, and Indian classical dance. In this session, I would like to share how Hinduism has shaped my idea of salvation and thus my way of life. I would also like to facility a discussion around salvation in your lives and how it has informed your way of life.
