End of Summer Party – Monday, September 4 at 2 PM. This year’s end of the summer party will be held in Bridgewater at the Newfound lakefront home of Chuck and Deedie Kriebel. There are plenty of opportunities to play, if the weather cooperates, with badminton, horseshoes, kayaks, pedal boats, and a canoe. There might even be a motorboat ride and tubing! Please bring lifejackets and towels. You may also bring your own boats. The swimming is fine, even for little ones, as the beach slopes gradually. Bring lawn chairs to lounge around and talk. Bring something for the grill or a picnic lunch, something to share, and BYOB. As usual, bring plates, napkins, and silverware. We will have a campfire at sunset and a sing along, so bring your instruments and be prepared to sing. If it does rain, we can play games inside and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow SKUUFers.
The address is 22 Thistle Trail in Bridgewater. It is easy to find, exactly 8.0 miles south from the traffic circle in Plymouth on Tenney Mountain Highway, on Rte. 3A (toward Bristol). From the south, it is 0.4 miles from the Inn on Newfound Lake on Rte. 3A. From both directions, turn at the green road signs Thistle Trail and Pollard Path onto Thistle Trail and drive toward the lake. If using GPS, use 1249 Mayhew Turnpike, which will get you close. Then use our directions. If you have physical limitations, please pull down to the Green Cottage on the Lake. Otherwise, please park in the upper areas until they are full. Any questions and to let us know that you are coming, please contact us at [email protected] or call Chuck (cell 978-979-9537) or Deedie (cell 978-979-9527) or the land line (603-744-6450). There is no rain date (Labor Day comes but once a year), so let’s hope for great weather. Please join us rain or shine!
